What if one of my trusted people loses their key?
Nothing is lost. You choose a threshold when splitting your secret — for example 3 of 5 keys. Any 3 of the 5 can recover the secret, so losing one or two keys doesn't matter.
Can one person alone read my secret?
No. A single key reveals mathematically nothing about your secret — guaranteed by Shamir's Secret Sharing, the same scheme used by hardware wallet makers and enterprise key escrow. Only the threshold you chose can unlock it.
